Artist CV
I am a contemporary artist whose work focuses on 2D and 3D elements. My practice consists of ceramic sculpture, print, painting and drawing. Whilst I currently study at Bath spa University, completing my final year of Contemporary arts practice, I have gained experience within ceramics; hand building, coiling, pinch, mixing glazes and a variety of firings techniques including Raku. I have also has gained artistic experience with printmaking, completing work within etching, lino and silk print. The focus of my practice has often incorporated present and current political issues and themes. I am passionate about feminist themes and equality within my current practice which focuses on creating an honest and vulnerable depiction of what is it for myself to be a female today, whilst previously working on the project named ‘My intimate portrait’. Conceptually the work incorporates the idea of friendships, female unity, solidarity, vulnerablility, whilst the work indicates dicussion with the Divine Feminine Goddess ideal, incorporating nature and the female form on the surface of objects and vessels.
